WEST CENTRAL NEIGHBORHOOD

WHERE HISTORY MEETS THE BEND IN THE RIVER

West Central is one of Spokane’s true “treasure neighborhoods” with dynamic individuals, a great history, and a sense of pride that makes this an ideal location to live, work, or play!

The West Central Neighborhood is one of the cornerstone neighborhoods of Spokane, rich in tradition, history, and wonderful citizens! As a resident of West Central, you have many opportunities to become involved in neighborhood events and decisions. If you are not yet a resident of West Central, we encourage you to consider our neighborhood as place of residence. Our neighborhood starts south of Indiana Avenue, south to the Spokane River, Monroe Street, west to the Spokane River… Each neighborhood is represented by a Neighborhood Council and each Neighborhood Council falls within one of three Spokane City Council Districts.

The West Central Neighborhood falls within Spokane City Council District #3 and is represented by Councilman Steve Corker and Councilwoman Nancy McLaughlin. Any resident of the West Central Neighborhood can participate in the Neighborhood Council, and we encourage you to become an active member of your neighborhood. Kelly Cruz is the current chair of the West Central Neighborhood Council and it meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the West Central Community Center (1603 N. Belt).
